Registration

The Challenges staff is comprised of a collection of master teachers, counselors, psychologists, school administrators, and graduate students.  A large percentage of our staff has worked at Challenges for ten years or more, with most veteran counselors continuing to returning year after year. The positivity and support counselors provide towards the campers and each other makes the three weeks of Challenges our favorite part of the year. In fact, several members of our staff travel from out of state just to work at Challenges Summer Program every year. Also, several former campers who are now counselors have joined the staff and are a vital part of our continuing success. Our main goal at Challenges Summer Program is to help foster campers’ confidence-building and resilience. Challenges is a wonderful opportunity during the summer for rising 3rd through 7th graders to build confidence, resiliency, and gain an attitudinal jump start for the upcoming school year.

Please complete the application to start your Challenges Experience, and ask your child's teacher to fill out the teacher recommendation.  Camp runs from 8:30 - 11:15 with extended care options up until 12:30 on weekdays. Camp will be July 8th to 26th, 2024 at St. Martin's Episcopal School.  The cost of the camp is $975.  Checks should be made payable to St. Martin's Episcopal School and mailed to Sutton Ruiz, 611 Terrace St., Jefferson, LA  70121.  There is an additional $30 application fee for new applicants.

 

To register, please complete the application below and ask your child's teacher to complete the Teacher Recommendation.  The application is due by May 19th, 2024
